It was worth the wait.

We had over 130 of our nearest and dearest turn up to celebrate with us on a “school night” at the stunning Pialligo Estate Glasshouse. Delicious smoked meats, pickled veggies and of course celebratory drinks were on the menu.

Our Directors Will Honey and Hannah Gill welcomed our guests with gratitude for the huge amount of support we’ve received since we opened our doors just 16 months ago. And we all got to appreciate just how far we’ve come as we watched a recap video that told our story and achievements over the last year and a bit.

In-between many laughs, being awed by the mystery of our roaming magician, boogying to The Baker Boys band and conversations of every kind, we managed to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Salvation Army.

We were lucky enough to have Christopher Toth, a well-known Canberra artist donate his time to paint a 1.7m x 1.5m portrait of local icon Alan Jessop in his unique recognisable style. Alan is well-known Canberran who collected donations in the Canberra Centre over the last 30 years, raising over 4 million dollars for the Salvation Army. The lucky winning bidder paid $21,000 for the masterpiece and said they’ll be hanging the impressive painting in their boardroom.

We also sold a helicopter experience kindly Air CBR including a dining package for $5,200 at our charity auction, taking the total amount raised to $26,200. Thanks to everyone who got involved.

As the evening came to a close, our guests cleared The Property Collective merch stand, many of them sporting our TPC trucker hats home, while some continued the celebrations well into the next day.
